The slogan of the 2014 Seoul LGBT Film Festival is “Love conquers hate.” It is just as tough today as it was in the past for sexual minorities to stand up

against discrimination and bias, as well as exclusion and hate. But we wish to prove through movies that what prevails at the end is not hatred and loathing, but love. In an unjust world where hate, disguised as righteousness, warrants even violence, two movies will provide an opportunity for us to identify and build a new understanding of how we define genuine human nature and true love.
