Festival Director

Kim Jho Gwang-soo  Representative / Director

Kim Jho Gwang-soo graduated from the Department of Theater and Film at Hanyang University. While in school, he was part of a student film collective called Youth Film Production, and in 1997, he founded the film company Generation Blue Films, where he continues to serve as CEO.

As a producer, he has worked on numerous titles including Happy End, Wanee and Junah, Jealousy Is My Middle Name, No Regret, Old Miss Diary, Boys of Tomorrow, Break Away, Detective K: Secret of Virtuous Widow, The Client, The Silenced, Blossom, Detective K: Secret of the Living Dead, Jo Pil-ho: The Dawning Rage, and Picnic.

Since 2008, he has also been active as a film director, with works such as Boy Meets Boy, Just Friends?, Love, 100℃, Two Weddings and a Funeral, One Night Only, Made in Rooftop, and The New Employee: The Movie.

LEE Young Zin Actress / Model

Lee Young Zin is an actress who has long been loved for her broad acting spectrum. Her lead role in Between the Seasons, the opening film of the 2018 Seoul International Pride Film Festival, reflects her ongoing connection with the festival. She currently serves on the festival’s executive committee, and continues to take on new challenges across a variety of genres.




Rhana JANG Film Journalist 

Rhana Jang began her career as a reporter for leading Korean film magazines SCREEN, Movieweek, and Magazine M, and is now actively working as a film journalist. She hosted the interview segments Star Sketch and Rhana Jang’s Angry Interview on Olleh TV, and co-hosted the comedy film podcast Comedy King with director Choi Hana of More than Family (2020). She currently appears on the “Friday Salon” segment of KBS Radio Cool FM’s Jo Jung-sik’s FM Parade.



Kyu Choi  Artistic director of Seoul Performing Arts Festival

Kyu Choi is the current artistic director of the Seoul Performing Arts Festival. His work focuses on the themes of diversity and accessibility in contemporary art, the intersection of art with science and technology, and the relationship between local identity and emerging forms of international mobility. Based on these interests, he has developed and produced a wide range of performances, research projects, labs, and workshops.

He has previously served as festival director or creative director for various performing arts festivals, including the Chuncheon International Mime Festival, Ansan Street Arts Festival, and the UK/Korea Season (2017–18).



PARK Sungho Programmer, Busan International Film Festival

Park Sungho majored in film editing at Chung-Ang University. He participated in NGO activities for poverty relief in Tamil Nadu, India, and began his career at the Busan International Film Festival in 2007 as a staff member of the Asian Film Academy, later serving as head of the Asian Cinema team. In 2013, after traveling to 41 countries, he moved to Cambodia and worked as a board member at the film production company Anti-Archive, producing short films and documentaries. Since 2019, he has been serving as a programmer at the Busan International Film Festival, working to raise the international profile of Southeast Asian cinema.



Michelle Son President, M-Line Distribution

With over 25 years of experience, Michelle Son is one of the first-generation film sales executives in Korea and currently leads M-Line Distribution. The company has introduced more than 300 titles—including box office hits, independent films, and auteur-driven works—to international audiences and film festivals around the world.



KIM Kyu-jin Author

Kyu-jin Kim is an openly lesbian author and a full-time office worker. She became the first in Korea to publicly share the news of childbirth within a same-sex marriage. She is the author of Will You Marry Me, Unnie? and Momo Diary by Kim Kyu -jin, and continues to speak and write in the hope that her daughter can grow up in a more accepting world.

KIM Yeong-deok  Chairperson, Asian Contents & Film Market at the Busan International Film Festival

Kim Yeong-deok is an active figure in the Asian film industry, with extensive experience in film production, festival programming, and international collaboration. In 2001, he founded Flying Tiger Pictures and produced works such as Cry Woman (screened in the “Un Certain Regard” section at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival) and Hanaan by Korean-Uzbek director Park Ruslan (screened in the “Filmmakers of the Present” section at the 2010 Locarno International Film Festival).

While at Bom Film Productions, he produced Night and Day by director Hong Sang-soo. He also served as programmer and later chief programmer at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival for 12 years. In March 2024, he was appointed Chairperson of the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) at the Busan International Film Festival.



KIM Young-woo  Programmer, Seoul Independent Film Festival

Kim Young-woo studied Visual Arts and Television at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He served as a programmer for Asian cinema at the Busan International Film Festival until 2019, and is currently working as a programmer at the Seoul Independent Film Festival, focusing on international exchange for Korean cinema.


He also works as the programmer for Asian cinema at the Red Sea International Film Festival, and serves as a program advisor and selection committee member for major international festivals such as the Locarno Film Festival and the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA).
