Synopsis
Founded in 1985, the Hyangyu House (residential facility for the disabled) is closed, and the disabled who lived there begin to move into the neighborhood. As facilities, which are someone’s workplace and someone’s home, are closed, various interests are intertwined. Some employees have succeeded to employment, while others have not. Some disabled people want to leave the facility, while others do not. What does it mean for our society to be closed? We’re starting to see people with disabilities that have never been seen in our neighborhood, but are we, and we in the neighborhood ready to live with them? It is also not easy for disabled people who have lived in facilities all their lives to live in the neighborhood. I want to tell the story of people who accomplish the difficult taks.
